    About Us:

    The You Count Movement is a dynamic nonprofit committed to promoting mental health awareness and fostering supportive communities. Our overarching goal is to create a universal symbol for mental health. We are accomplishing our mission through a variety of different avenues such as developing a branded clothing line to raise funds, collaborating with coffee shops to establish safe spaces for individuals seeing support and community, and finally creating You Count Chapters in schools and universities to foster relationships and conversations. 

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated individual to serve as the Event Coordinator for our nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing overseeing and implementing our events, ensuring the effective function of the organization, and contributing to our mission of mental health advocacy. 


    Event Planning and Execution

    1. Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy aligned with You Count Movement goals. 
    2. Plan and coordinate various events, including fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and community outreach programs. 
    3. Ensure seamless execution of events from conception to post-event evaluation.

    Collaboration and Networking

    1. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and community partners to enhance event quality and reach.
    2. Collaborate with other organization members and external individuals to maximize the impact of events. 

    Budget Management

    1. Create and manage event budgets and maximize fundraising potential.
    2. Seek and secure sponsorships to offset costs and increase financial support for the organization. 
    3. Seek and secure sponsorships to increase support for the organization.

    Promotion and Marketing

    1. Develop promotional strategies for events.
    2. Utilize various channels, including social media, press releases and community outreach to promote events and increase attendance. 

    Logistics and Operations

    1. Coordinate logistical aspects of events, including audio-visual requirements, oversee on-site event management, and ensure a positive experience for participants and attendees.
